AMCHAM
AMCHAM'S ORIGIN

The Honduran American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM-HONDURAS) was established in Tegucigalpa in 1981. AMCHAM is affiliated with 22 other American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean to the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA), which is based in Washington, D.C. AMCHAM is also a fully accredited member of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America (COCUSA); which comprises 61 AMCHAM offices in 55 Countries throughout the world. Representing over 16,600 companies and individuals managing the bulk of U.S. investments in the region, AACCLA is the most active and influential voice for American business operating in Latin America today. Amcham's ties to AACCLA and COCUSA allow for a permanent representation before government policymakers both in Washington D.C. and in the world's major international organizations and agencies.

AMCHAM is self-supportive. It relies on the vision, determination, energy and hard work of its board of directors, members, executives and dedicated employees to carry out an ambitious work plan which provides quality services and generates revenue for the institution.

AMCHAM-Honduras mission is to promote economic and commercial ties between the private sector of Honduras and the Unites States. We must represent the interest of our members before governments, Honduras and the Unites States, within the framework of free trade, free markets and free enterprise.
