INFORMATION CENTER: The Chamber operates as an information center or
as a link for member companies, guilds, government institutions, financial
institutions, and hundreds of American companies. AMCHAM clients may
have various interests such as expanding their markets, acquiring goods
or services, establishing societies, investing in Honduras, or simply
obtaining data on Honduran companies involved in their line of business
or viceversa. This is one way in which AMCHAM encourages outside investment
and provides growth alternatives for the benefit of its membership roster.
EVENTS: In order to foster economic prosperity in Honduras, the Chamber
projects itself in a positive way by stressing a high-paced activities
program every which rang from working breakfasts and luncheons, dinners,
meetings, seminars, and conferences sponsored by national and international
personalities with a proven track record and who discuss current topics
or interest with the business community.
These workshops and forums provide excellent opportunities for representatives
in the private sector to exchange information and enables them to discuss
and identify common problems, as trading partners both in Honduras and
the U.S. thus strengthening the Chamber's scope and effectiveness.
AMCHAM works closely with official government offices in both countries
such as the U.S. Embassy in Honduras, AID, Peace Corps, various NGO'S,
the U.S. Congress and in Honduras with most government offices and private
sector organizations and associations availing its membership to a wide
range of positions, opinions and sources of information.
COMMERCIAL LIBRARY: Visitors are encouraged to do their own research
or if they wish our commercial personnel can assist them. The library
has a wide variety of publications such as catalogs, directories, magazines,
pamphlets and other documents. Copies may be requested at a cost.
EMPLOYMENT BANK: In order to meet the needs of personnel recruitment
for different companies, AMCHAM maintains an employment bank with an
adequate quantity of resumes. All you need to do is call the Chamber
and indicate the employer's requirements and the Chamber will immediately
send a copy of the qualified candidates. AMCHAM personnel will be happy
to take your requirements for the vacancy and will proceed to send the
resumes of available candidates for your consideration. This service
is free for AMCHAM members. Resumes will be provided without any cost
to the company requesting the information.
